Go to and click on Messenger. Scroll down and click on Settings in the menu to warnings on the side & Sons. Clear the check box will sound, shows a message in the bottom corner to the right and then play a sound. Click Apply and OK. But then you get more with the new e-mail notifications.
Start your Messenger and access to settings, uncheck "Yahoo Messenger and Windows starts early.
